Students’ Ministries

Cornerstone

Cornerstone is a Fellowship/Bible Study group for high school students. The primary intent is to share Jesus Christ with those that don’t know him and help those that do know Christ to grow in their faith through study of God’s Word. In addition, we hope to grow the youth in their friendships with each other through fellowship time, game time, worship time, and prayer. We want the Cornerstone youth group to be a place where teens feel safe, loved and where Christian community is built.
The youth meet every Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00. In addition there are special events, parties, service opportunities, and mission trips. Our weekly meeting takes place in the URBC youth room (immediately to your left as you enter from the parking lot).
High school students, we would love to have you join us for a great time together!

Lighthouse

Lighthouse will begin again in Fall 2019

Lighthouse is the junior high youth group at Upper Room Bible Church. The main goal of Lighthouse is to help junior high kids learn more about Jesus and their faith while having tons of fun in a social atmosphere. Lighthouse meets at the church from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday nights during the school year. A typical evening at Lighthouse includes games and activities, biblically-based and relevant teaching, worship, small group time, and prayer. All junior high aged kids in 6th to 8th grade are welcome to attend.

AWANA at The Upper Room Bible Church

We have an Awana program which meets Wednesday evenings at the church.   Awana is an international evangelical nonprofit organization whose mission is to help “churches and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love, and serve Christ.”

We currently have classes for children from 3 years old through eighth grade which run from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.  Our high school students attend from 8:00 to 9:15 P.M.  There is a small fee which pays for the workbooks, uniforms, awards, and trophies that the students receive.  Please talk to us if you need help with this fee.  We would love to host your children!

Awana meets from September to May of each year.
